Healing is a slow process, beginning with just one decision at a time. To me, it is much like stacking rocks to create a soulful cairn. While each stone is placed with intention, resting gently on the last, for a time it may stand in perfect harmony.


But life moves.


The wind shifts things. Water softens the ground. The earth itself is always changing. And sometimes… something comes along and knocks a stone out of place.


The stack becomes uneven. A few stones may fall.


Not because anything is wrong… but because this is what it means to be part of a living world.

Healing the Root & Heart Chakra

Healing is much the same.

It is not something we achieve once and hold forever. It is a returning.

A gentle, ongoing process of realigning… one stone at a time.


🌿 Root Chakra Healing: Building a Foundation of Safety

At the base of your inner cairn is your foundation.

Your sense of safety.

This is your root chakra, located at the base of the spine.

It holds the energy of:

  • Safety

  • Stability

  • Belonging

And this foundation begins forming early in life.


Before we have words… before we understand the world… we are already learning:

Am I safe? Am I supported? Do I belong here?


In psychology, our early traumas are called ~ ACES ~ Adverse Childhood Experiences… but really… they’re just life experiences.

And every one of us has them.

Some are small. Some are deeper.

But all of them shape how our foundation feels.

And this is important to remember… there is no bad guy here.

No one to blame. No one to hate. No one to fix.

Only people doing the best they can with the tools, awareness, and support they had at the time.


And that includes you.


At the foundation of all healing is the Root Chakra. Identifying the needs of your Root Chakra is an important first step in self-healing.


🌿 Heart Chakra Healing: Returning to Love and Connection

At the center of your cairn is your heart, holding the energy of:

  • Love

  • Compassion

  • Connection


It is deeply connected to the physical body ~ your heart, your lungs, your circulatory system… the system that carries life through you.


If the root is your foundation, the heart is your flow.

It is what connects everything.


And this is where something simple, yet deeply powerful, begins to reveal itself: Healing begins with two essential experiences ~

✨ Safety✨ Love


Safety allows your body to soften. Love allows your heart to open.

And when those two come together… your system begins to remember balance.


🌿 From Self-Healing to Collective Healing

Healing is not about going back and changing the past.

It is about gently returning to yourself… and choosing, with intention, to realign.


Every time you create a moment of safety within yourself, you bring a little less fear into the world.


Every time you choose love ~ for yourself, for another, for this moment ~

you expand compassion outward.


This is how self-healing becomes collective healing. Not through force. But through presence.


🌿 A Gentle Practice: One Stone at a Time

You don’t have to do everything.

Just begin with one small intention…

A small moment to yourself. A reminder that you are safe, and you are loved.

You don’t have to force it. You don’t have to believe it perfectly.

Just… let the words be there.


As you move forward, remember your stack of cairns. Build them, one stone at a time…

  • A breath

  • A moment of stillness

  • A kind thought toward yourself

  • Each one gently placed.


Healing doesn’t require you to fix everything all at once.

It simply asks you to return…

again and again… to safety, to love, to connection.
