When healing feels hard, start here.
When life feels heavy and you’re not quite yourself, the idea of self-healing can feel overwhelming. This space is here to soften that feeling…to gently guide you back to yourself, to connection, and to a place that meets you exactly where you are.
There’s nothing you need to fix in this moment. Nothing you need to force.
Just… a small invitation to begin again. Gently.
If you are in a place where you feel unsafe, overwhelmed, or in deep pain, please know this:
Healing is not something you have to do alone.
What I’m sharing here isn’t meant to replace support or care from others. These are simply small companions… practices you can return to, in your own time, in your own way.
And even choosing one… is enough.
Because sometimes, when everything feels heavy, even the idea of “healing” can feel like too much.
So instead of trying to do everything…maybe just begin with one small doorway.
Here are five gentle ways to come back to yourself.
🌿 1. Stillness
This doesn’t have to be meditation.
You don’t need to clear your mind. You don’t need to sit perfectly or do it “right.”
Just… pause.
Maybe place your hand on your heart for a moment. And take one slow breath.
And then another.
Even 30 seconds of noticing your breath can begin to soften the noise, just a little.
🌿 2. Gratitude
Some days, gratitude feels out of reach. And that’s okay.
So instead of searching for something big…just notice something small.
Something that didn’t make today harder.
Maybe it’s a warm drink. A quiet moment. A breath that came a little easier.
You’re not trying to force positivity…just allowing a tiny moment of steadiness.

🌿 3. Nature
You don’t have to go far.
You don’t need a forest or a trail.
Just… look outside. Feel the air on your skin. Touch water. Or hold something natural in your hand.
Even a few seconds of connection with the natural world can remind your body that you are part of something steady… something bigger.
🌿 4. Gentle Movement
This isn’t about exercise or doing it “right.”
Just… move a little.
Stretch your arms overhead. Roll your shoulders. Or lie down and feel your body supported.
Sometimes healing begins by simply reminding your body that it’s allowed to soften.
🌿 5. Connection
This might look like prayer…or simply speaking from your heart.
You might talk to God, to the universe, to your ancestors, or just into the quiet.
Being heard often begins with allowing yourself to speak.
These are five self-healing practices, but you don’t have to do all five.
You don’t have to do them every day.
If one of these feels accessible to you this week…start there.
And if none of them feel possible right now…that’s okay too.
Even being here, reading this…is a form of care.
Healing doesn’t always happen in big moments.
Sometimes…it begins in the quietest, smallest choices.
A breath. A pause. A moment of noticing.
And from there…something slowly begins to return.
So take what you need…and leave the rest.
I’m really glad you’re here.
Namaste,
Lori
