Understanding Energy Through the Wisdom of Nature
Energy is always moving. Through our breath. Through our bodies. Through our emotions and thoughts.
When our energy flows freely, we often feel more grounded, present, and aligned. But there are times when that flow slows, or feels blocked entirely. This doesn’t mean something is “wrong.” It means something within us is asking to be acknowledged with care.
Nature offers a simple and compassionate way to understand this.
Imagine a river.
The River as a Metaphor for Energy Flow
A river moves steadily toward its destination, adapting naturally to the land around it. Along the way, rocks settle into its path. The water doesn’t fight them. It doesn’t stop. It gently moves around them, softening their edges over time.
Our energy works much the same way.
The “rocks” in our energetic river often form through:
Past emotional wounds or unresolved experiences
Traumas the body remembers, even when the mind has moved on
Repeated triggers that cause tension or contraction
Resentments, guilt, or unforgiven moments we continue to carry
These experiences can create areas where energy slows or stagnates - not as punishment, but as protection.

How Stuck Energy Affects the Body and Emotions
When energy remains held for long periods of time, it can show up in subtle or noticeable ways.
Physically, this may feel like:
Chronic tension or tightness
Fatigue or heaviness
Shallow breathing
Discomfort that moves or lingers without clear cause
Emotionally or mentally, it may appear as:
Feeling stuck in old patterns
Heightened emotional reactions
Difficulty letting go of the past
A sense of disconnection from yourself or others
The body holds wisdom. Often, it’s simply waiting for permission to soften.
Releasing Energy Gently Aligns Body, Mind, and Spirit
Release does not mean forcing something away. It does not require reliving the past or pushing through discomfort.
True energetic release happens through safety, compassion, and ease.
When energy begins to move again:
The body can relax and regulate
The nervous system settles
Emotional weight begins to lighten
The mind gains clarity
The spirit feels more present and connected
Just as the river continues forward, you are allowed to move forward ~ without pressure, without urgency, and without judgment.
You are not your past experiences. You are not defined by what you’ve carried. You are allowed to release what no longer serves you.
A Gentle Visualization for Energy Release
If it feels supportive, take a moment to imagine a lotus flower floating on the surface of a calm river.
The lotus represents softness, resilience, and renewal.
One by one, you may gently place anything you are ready to release onto its petals:
A lingering resentment
An old belief about yourself
Emotional weight you no longer need to carry
There is no need to name everything.Your body already knows.
Watch as the lotus drifts downstream, carried effortlessly by the current. The river receives it without resistance. This is how energy moves when it is met with compassion.
A Gentle Reminder
Healing does not happen all at once. Energy shifts in layers, just like water shaping stone.
Meet yourself where you are.Move at your own pace. And remember ~your energy knows how to flow when given patience and care.
Keep healing.
